Viewing metrics with Prometheus

Note: The section presumes that you are familiar with the Prometheus Pushgateway and have access to running instances. These procedures include minimal instructions for installing and accessing the software, with links to the related websites.

Requirements

To view APM Stream data in Prometheus and Pushgateway, meet these requirements:

• Access to Tidal Automation instance, version 6.2 or later.

  Note: While APM Stream supports any TA instance, the availability of specific data is determined by:

The data available in and supported by the TA version in use. For example, SLA (Service Level Agreement) data in the SLA and SLARule objects became available TA Ver. 6.5.6.

The TA metrics that can be extracted by the APM Stream version in use. For example, all TA versions provided TA server resource information, but it was not accessible through APM Stream via APMServerResource object until version 2.0.

• Access to a Prometheus environment.
