Licensing an Adapter
Each TA adapter must be licensed separately in order to activate and use the adapter. If the adapter is purchased after the original TA installation, you will receive a new license file authorizing the use of the adapter.
TA supports these license types:
-
a demo license that is used for a specified period of time before it expires (for example, 30 days);
-
a permanent license.
To license an adapter:
-
Stop the TA Master:
Windows:
-
Click Start and click All Programs > Tidal Automation > Scheduler > Service Control Manager.
-
Verify that the Master is displayed in the Service list and click Stop to halt the Master.
UNIX: Enter tesm stop.
-
-
Create the license file:
-
For a permanent license, rename your permanent license file to master.lic.
-
For a demo license, create a file called demo.lic and enter the demo code in the newly created file.
-
-
Place the file in the C:\Program Files\TIDAL\Scheduler\Master\config directory.
-
Start the TA Master:
Windows: Click Start in the Service Control Manager.
UNIX: Enter tesm start.
The Master reads and applies the license when it starts.
To validate that the license was applied, click Registered License in the System Configuration > Activities menu.
