Introducing the Tidal Automation Adapter for the SAP Integrated Business Planning
Powered by SAP S/4HANA for supply chain management, the SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a cloud-based planning software that uses real-time information to help companies respond more quickly to market and business volatility.
The adapter helps customers to retrieve the job templates from the SAP Integrated Business Planning cloud system and execute the jobs based on these templates.
Minimum Software Requirements for the TA Master
The minimum software requirements for the adapter implementation are:

SAP IBP OD 2102
-
Microsoft Visual C++ runtime components 2005 or above for Windows installations

Oracle JDK 8 or Oracle JDK 11 or OpenJDK 8 or OpenJDK 11

Prerequisites
Meet these prerequisites to execute the SAP Integrated Business Planning jobs from Tidal Automation.
In the SAP Integrated Business Planning cloud system, perform these steps:

Login to SAP IBP Cloud.

Use the Maintain Communication User app to create a Communication User.

Use the Communication Systems app to create a Communication System and then:

Choose Inbound Only in the General section.

Add the Communication User in the User For Inbound Communication section.

Use the Communication Arrangement app to create a Communication Arrangement for Job Scheduling API and then:
-
Choose the communication scenario SAP_COM_0064.
-
Add the Communication System in the Common Data section.
-
Add the Communication User in the Inbound Communication section.
Note: The Service URL for External Scheduler Integration is displayed in the Inbound Services section. When creating an SAP Integrated Business Planning connection in TA, this Service URL is provided in the External Scheduler Integration Service URL field on the SAP IBP tab.
Note: The Service URL for External Scheduler Integration has this form: https://<SAP IBP Cloud Server Host>/sap/opu/odata/sap/BC_EXT_APPJOB_MANAGEMENT;v=0002, where <SAP IBP Cloud Server Host> refers to the Cloud Server where the SAP IBP services are hosted.

Create a Communication Arrangement for Planning-Monitoring API using the Communication Arrangement app.
Then:

Choose the communication scenario SAP_COM_0068.

Add the Communication System in the Common Data section.

Add the Communication User in the Inbound Communication section.
Note: The Service URL for Application Log is displayed under the Inbound Services section. When creating an SAP Integrated Business Planning connection in TA, this Service URL is provided in the Application Log Service URL field on the SAP IBP tab.
Note: The Service URL for Application Log has this form: https://<SAP IBP Cloud Server Host>/sap/opu/odata/IBP/LOG_VIEW_SRV, where <SAP IBP Cloud Server Host> refers to the Cloud Server where the SAP Integrated Business Planning services are hosted.

Create Business User and System in SAP IBP Cloud.

Log in to SAP IBP Cloud.

Access the Maintain Business Users app to view business users.

Add a business user if it does not exist and assign the appropriate business role for viewing templates, scheduling, and running jobs.
