Running an Ad Hoc Job
To insert a TA ad hoc job from SAP Solution Manager:

Navigate to the Schedule section in the Job Scheduling Assistant: Step 4 (Submit Job) page. To navigate to the Job Scheduling Assistant: Step 4 (Submit Job) refer in the section Verifying RFC connection in SAP Solution Manager.

Choose a TA RFC connection from the RFC Connection lookup field in the Schedule section.

Choose Global from the Separation Group lookup field.

Choose the queue as Tidal Computed Queue from the Queue lookup field. Currently, the queue is computed by TA at runtime.

Add the required priority in the Priority field.
Note: The priority ranges from 1(low) to 100 (high).

Click Immediately on the Start Conditions section.

Click the appropriate job definition from the Job Definition lookup field on the Definition section.
Note: Use the Definition section to modify job parameters marked [U] or [UO].

Click Schedule/Change Externally to insert an ad hoc job into TA.
Running an Ad Hoc job with a Specific Date and Time
To insert a TA ad hoc job with a specific date and time from SAP Solution Manager:

Navigate to the Schedule section in the Job Scheduling Assistant: Step 4 (Submit Job) page. To navigate to the Job Scheduling Assistant: Step 4 (Submit Job), see section Verifying RFC connection in SAP Solution Manager.

Choose a TA RFC connection from the RFC Connection lookup field on the Schedule section.

Choose Global from the Separation Group lookup field.

Add the required priority in the Priority field.

Click Once on the Start Conditions section and enter:

(Optional) Start Date – Choose the start date.

Start Time – Choose the appropriate start time.

Time Zone – Choose the appropriate time zone.

Choose the appropriate job definition from the Job Definition lookup field on the Definition section.
Note: The Definition section allows the users to modify the job parameters marked with [U] or [UO].
Schedule or Change Externally (Schedule)

All inputs added in job parameters marked as [U],[UO] in Solution Manager are updated automatically in the TA job definition and do not compile the corresponding jobs.

Job is inserted automatically in TA job activity with the date and time specified in the Start Date and Start Time fields.
Schedule or Change Externally (Change)

All inputs provided in Job Parameters marked as [UO] in Solution Manager automatically update those jobs with specific schedules in TA.
Example: The Job and Job Run ID (not the Job Definition).
Rescheduling a Job
Click Reschedule to:

Cancel the existing job run.
-
Schedule the new job run with the current time.
Note: You cannot modify Job Definition parameters.
Canceling a Scheduled Job
Click Cancel.
