Selecting an SAP Job
You can use the SAP Job Selection dialog to input search criteria to fetch and choose existing jobs from the SAP system. You can also choose a job that does not yet exist in the SAP system.
To choose an existing job in the SAP system:
-
Enter any combination of the criteria: Job Name, User Name, and Job Start Date/Time.
-
Enter an event name or click Search next to the Or after event field to display the SAP Event Search dialog.
-
Click Search to list all available SAP events or enter the even name and choose Search to list the specified event.
-
Choose an event from the list and click OK. The selected event is displayed in the Or after event field.
-
Choose the Scheduled job status and click Refresh to display a list of scheduled job that meet the criteria (Transaction SM37). Modify the criteria and again click Refresh to refine the list of selected jobs. When you uncheck the Scheduled job status, the remaining job statuses such as Released, Ready, Active, Finished, and Canceled are selected.
You can also use this screen to delete an SAP job selectively rather than load a copy of it. Choose a job from the list of displayed jobs and click the Delete.
To remove your job selection criteria quickly, choose Defaults to restore the default selection criteria.
-
Click OK.
To choose a job that does not exist in the SAP system:
-
Enter the name of the SAP job in the Job Name field of the SAP Job Selection dialog.
-
Click OK. This job name is displayed in the Job Name field in the SAP tab.
