Controlling OVMS Jobs
Enterprise Scheduler provides these job control capabilities:
-
Hold a job waiting to run
-
Stop/Resume a job
-
Abort an active job
-
Rerun a job that completed
-
Delete a job
Holding a Job
OVMS jobs are held in the same way as any other Enterprise Scheduler job. A OVMS process can be held before it is launched.
Stopping/Resuming a Job
OVMS jobs are stopped or resumed in the same way as any other Enterprise Scheduler job.
-
For jobs with multiple steps, the job is stopped before the next step executes, and may wait for the current step to complete.
-
For jobs currently executing a custom job step, if there is a OVMS operation that has been configured to suspend jobs, that operation is invoked. When the job is resumed, if there is a OVMS operation that has been configured to resume suspended jobs, that operation is invoked.
Aborting a Job
OVMS jobs are aborted in the same way as any other Enterprise Scheduler jobs.
-
For jobs with multiple steps, the job is aborted before the next step executes, and may wait for the current step to complete.
-
For jobs currently executing a custom job step, if there is a OVMS operation that has been configured to abort jobs, that operation is invoked.
Rerunning a Job
To rerun a job:
-
Right‐click the OVMS job on the Job Activity pane.
-
Click Job Control > Rerun.
Deleting a Job
OVMS jobs are deleted in the same way as any other Enterprise Scheduler job.
The default Job History Retention is set on the Defaults tab of the System Configuration dialog. You can set job history retention for an individual job in the Options tab of the Job Definition dialog. Enterprise Scheduler will automatically delete job history from its own logs when the job history retention limit is met. The default is 30 days.
To delete a job:
-
Right‐click the OVMS job on the Job Activity pane.
-
Click Remove Job(s) From Schedule.
