Tidal Compatibility policy

Note: If you encounter any compatibility issues, please contact the support team for assistance.

The Tidal Platform is designed and implemented to seamlessly integrate with non-beta third-party software that is still under production support. This ensures that the third-party software is not in beta testing and continues to receive security updates and bug fixes from the software vendor. In case any issues arise when using the Tidal Platform with non-beta third-party software under production support, Tidal will provide fixes or offer assistance to customers.

Component compatibility may vary depending on the specific Agent or Adapter in use. For more detailed information, please refer to the documentation provided for each Agent or Adapter.

Note: For versions 6.5.13 and newer, Java version 17 must be used.

Reasons why the Tidal Platform is designed to work with non-beta third-party software that is still under production support:

  • Stability and Reliability. Non-beta third-party software is more stable and reliable compared to beta versions.

  • Compatibility. Non-beta third-party software is more likely to be compatible with the Tidal Platform.

  • Regular Updates. Non-beta third-party software is more likely to receive security updates and bug fixes, which can help to prevent problems.

By prioritizing non-beta third-party software, Tidal wants to ensure a reliable and secure experience for our customers when using the Tidal Platform.

What to do if you are using non-beta third-party software that is no longer under production support:

  • Contact the software vendor for support if you use non-beta third-party software without production support.

Note: Tidal Support cannot address issues caused by non-beta third-party software that is no longer under production support.

  • Contact your Tidal support representative if you require third-party support past their production maintenance period.

Additional Information

  • Tidal defines production support as the period when the third-party software still receives security updates, including bug fixes and other technical support from the software vendor.

  • Tidal does not support beta releases or GA releases that are no longer under production support. This is because such software may be unstable and contain bugs that can potentially cause issues with the Tidal software.

Note: If you use a beta release of third-party software or a GA release that is no longer under production support, you may experience problems with Tidal Software.

Tidal Support is unable to assist if you experience problems with the Tidal software on a beta release of third-party software.

Note: This compatibility policy is subject to change. Tidal may add or remove compatibility for third-party software at any time.

This policy is in place for all of the these versions:

  • Tidal Automation from 6.5.11 to the present.

  • Tidal Agents from 3.1.0 to the present.

  • Tidal Adapters from 6.5.11 to the present.
